Matt pledged Delta Theta Sigma in the spring of 2002 under the care of his pledge father, Karl Crave. Although Matt could have graduated in spring 2004, he decided to stay on for another year because he wasn’t quite ready to leave UW or his “home away from home” at DTS. After a fall semester of mostly fun in Madison, Matt studied abroad at the Royal School of Veterinary Medicine and Agriculture in Denmark. Upon returning to the states, he graduated with a BS in dairy science in spring 2005.
Matt then entered the UW School of Veterinary Medicine where he emphasized in large animal medicine. To everyone’s pleasant surprise, “The Old Man”, as the actives called him, moved back into the DTS house as a very active alumni. After nearly a full decade in school, Dr. Schaefer graduated in spring 2009 and now works as an associate veterinary for the Wittenberg Veterinary Clinic SC.
