How has DTS helped you in life and in your career?
Delta Theta Sigma helped me tremendously by interacting with people from different walks and talks regionally, nationally and internationally. This has assisted in my professional growth of dealing with people in North America and some Global. The best thing about DTS is that I still communicate and network with many of my fellow brothers. Strength in numbers!
What things can DTS alumni do to make their job prospects better?
If you feel like you’re in a dead end or the negatives outnumber the positives in your current career, there are still exciting and rewarding challenges out there for you. Working with a recruiter can get your name out there without putting you in a double jeopardy situation. You can still test the waters Featured Alumnus—Scott Rice Mike Gresch (1999) out there without your current employer finding out but it’s very important that everyone is on the same page.
Why did you join DTS?
I had known Greg Hanson for many years and he encouraged me to join. I’m from a small rural community near La Crosse and really enjoyed my upbringing. DTS had the same close, tight knit, caring and sharing atmosphere that I felt at home. It was one of the best decisions I ever made in college.
Scott leads one of the largest Food and Beverage Natural Product recruiting platforms in the industry and has offered to share some time with DTS active members that need help with their resumes. As a recruiter, he sees a large number of resumes and may be able to help active members make themselves look more attractive as employees.
